The Differences in the 2 Xbox 360 Versions

The cheaper version comes with an Xbox 360 core system, a standard wired controller, faceplate, as well as the standard AV cable.  This low price may easily tempt one into choosing it, but one may be better off with the more expensive version. To get the maximum from your console then you will need an additional hard drive that is not available with the cheaper version.

In spite of its backward compatibility, the high-end version also provides the necessary hard disk capacity to play the over two-hundred titles such as Halo.  The console is also rather large as compared with the diminutive PlayStation, and the Xbox 360 is extremely sleekly designed.  It also has interchangeable faceplates which allows it to be fitted into a home cinema rack beneath the TV.

The wireless controller is a real delight, and gamers would find it wonderfully convenient, plus with four wireless controller supports it is indeed a major plus for this console.  It has amazing graphics and all of the games are optimized as well as have high definition output.  In addition, it has USB 2.0 ports for attaching accessories.

The Xbox 360 console is also HD ready for games, and also offers Dolby Digital surround sound to give players a complete gaming experience.  The console will play on any type television and represent a big leap forward in evolving technology.

For users of Windows Media Center it is possible to connect the console with an Ethernet cable to make it a Media Center Extender, and it allows the user to stream content from a PC to the console, and to even watch it on the television.  The Xbox 360 console really promotes the concept of a digital hub, which enables it to play audio CDs as well as DVDs, and can be the center piece of a home entertainment system.

Microsoft has won half the battle of the gaming consoles by catering to the price conscious buyer, and has created two versions of the Xbox 360 console in order to lure in customers.

The under six-hundred dollar Xbox 360 console distinguishes itself with signature metallic detailing on the console as well as has a 20Gb hard drive and a wireless controller, as well as a spare faceplate.  It also includes a headset, a HD-AV cable, and a limited Xbox-Live Silver membership, which is offered for a limited period of time.  Finally, it has a media remote that top off this high-end Xbox 360 console.
