Tips to Purchasing a Used Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 has been in the market for a couple of years.  It has been a strong competitor among the other 7th generation gaming consoles and still remains one of the favorites among hardcore gamers.

If you are short on cash, but want to buy an Xbox 360 you can consider buying a used Xbox 360. Compared to a new Xbox 360, buying a used Xbox 360 is not that bad.

Due to the powerful hardware and spacious RAM of new Xbox 360 game systems, even if you purchase a used Xbox 360, game developers can be challenged by trying to tap the game console’s advanced and high potential.  You can still get the Xbox-Live on-line service and other appealing features fit for both developers and gamers.

Even with a used Xbox 360, you can still benefit from this impressive 7th generation console and its features, including the powerful hardware, impeccable service and unique software.

When buying a used Xbox 360, the best place to buy is on-line.  However, you have to be careful in bidding and paying for excessively cheap “used Xbox 360” for it may be a scam or the unit could be totally ruined.

You can still enjoy the Xbox guide buttons and ring of light, Xbox-Live marketplace, whether it be the silver or gold version, digital entertainment and personalization of consoles from interchangeable skins to the settings itself.

Another thing to consider when searching for a used Xbox 360 is to determine whether the item includes the core bundle package or premium bundle package.  The retail price of core systems is around $300, while the premiums are approximately $400.

The most obvious way to determine the kind of package you are wishing to buy is by looking at the xbox controllers.  A premium package includes the wireless controller, while the core system comes with xbox wired controller.

In terms of features, a used Xbox 360 with a core system is not a practical choice since it does not include 20GB of hard drive and the benefit of accessing Xbox-Live, saving high-leveled games, or playing with old games.

If you have found the most affordable, yet still good-looking used Xbox 360 on-line, you still have to ask the seller various questions to determine the health of the console, warranty, software installed, possible repair histories, and other concerns.

This way you can ensure to receive all the features and benefits of owning an Xbox 360, even if you bought it for less and previously owned.  Since this amazing game console has been sold in the market for over a year, the prices are not that high and you are likely to find a good deal.
